Back in 1992, actor John Corbett was quoted in a newspaper article as saying, "I feel like a visitor just about everywhere." It would turn out to be an eerily prophetic statement. Today, the former "Northern Exposure" actor is playing the lead role in "The Visitor," Fox's new drama series which debuts this Friday at 8 p.m. Appropriately enough, psychic phenomenon and seemingly mystical powers play a strong role in the series.

The title implies a cheeky slap at sentiment, but "I Hate Valentine's Day" comes from Nia Vardalos, the plucky writer and star of the highest-grossing romantic comedy in film history, "My Big Fat Greek Wedding." Nobody should be too concerned that cornball lovey-doveyness is in for a trip to the woodshed.

Carrie must really be done with Aidan on "Sex and the City." We deduce that because John Corbett, who played her onetime fiance, has landed a show of his own. He'll star in "Lucky," a comedy for cable's FX, about a poker player in Las Vegas. It'll premiere next year.

I have read in numerous magazines and papers about the success of "My Big Fat Greek Wedding." Over the last three weeks, I decided to do my own poll, as I knew why I went to see the movie. I have spoken to more than 30 women who have seen or want to see the movie and the reason: Aiden. Yes, John Corbett, a.k.a. Aiden from "Sex in the City." Funny how in all the articles this wonderful actor has not gotten any credit for the near "cult" following I am sure he has. He was perfectly cast in this role.
