King beating trial, a racially mixed jury determined Thursday that an African-American man was wrongly arrested and kicked by an officer in South Los Angeles. Donald Boyd said the civil verdict in his favor "sends a message that police officers in South-Central can't harass people just because they are black."

Police said the suspects arrived at the scene in three cars, entered the house and thrust a gun into house guest Jeremey Dunn's face. Dunn, who was the only one in the house and is a regular on the TV show "Baywatch Hawaii," was not hurt. Robbers began ransacking the house, gathering up stereos, clothing and other valuables, police said.
