Patricia Klein's article "Private School's Traffic Irks Neighbors" (April 9) not only overlooked The Buckley School's current parking regulations but also stereotyped the Buckley student as a rich, spoiled snob. The Buckley student body is extremely concerned about the over congestion of Stansbury Avenue and is sympathetic to the neighbors' unfortunate situation. Along with the administration, we have helped to alleviate the problem by initialing reforms, such as restricting parking on the west side of Stansbury, controlling the influx of traffic by staggering classes, permitting delivery vehicles only through the rear entry of the school and reducing the number of evening and weekend school meetings.

Which explains why Ventura Coach Paul Clementi was in good spirits even though the fifth-ranked Cougars won only one of their three dual meets and finished third. "To get that level of competition to come to Ventura would never have happened 10 years ago," Clementi said. "It was just exciting, it was state-caliber wrestling."

Heavyweight Chad Troxler of Simi Valley was among six Marmonte League wrestlers to advance to the semifinals of the Southern Section Division II wrestling finals Friday at Westlake High. Troxler, 43-6, a three-time Marmonte League champion, recorded pins against Kerry Monnie of Valley View and Nathan Neemia of Katella, then advanced by injury default to today's semifinals.

The gig: Diego Berdakin is the president and co-founder of BeachMint, a Santa Monica start-up that operates e-commerce websites with products designed by celebrities. So far, BeachMint has launched two online shops: JewelMint.com, which sells jewelry designed by actress Kate Bosworth and her stylist Cher Coulter; and StyleMint.com, which sells clothing designed by actresses Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. Two more online stores are set to launch before the end of the year, Berdakin said.

Royal redraw: When the Southern Section Division I-A girls' basketball playoff pairings were drawn Monday, Marmonte League co-champion Royal was scheduled to host Channel League runner-up Santa Barbara on Saturday, a tough draw for the 23-3 Highlanders. Even worse, Royal most likely would have had to face two-time defending division champion Buena in a second-round game. Royal Coach Mike Kohl appealed to section Commissioner Dean Crowley.
