Martina Navratilova and her former live-in companion reached a settlement late Friday that ends their "palimony" suit, the tennis star's attorney said. Gary DeShazo of Austin, Tex., said the terms of the settlement are confidential because "everybody wanted the secrecy." "They made a deal they can both live with," DeShazo said Friday night. "I think it's OK. It's a case that should have been resolved earlier."

The mothers of two young men whom Randy Steven Kraft is accused of killing cried and hugged each other Monday after watching the first day of testimony about their sons' deaths, including large-screen color photographs of one son's nude body. "It's a driving force within you that makes you be there," said Shirley DeVaul, one of the mothers, explaining why they sat through the gruesome details. "You just have to know what happened."

"But I also now believe that this was pretty much organized ahead of time," Navratilova told Barbara Walters.
