Five schools in Norway have cried "Uncle" in the face of the force that is Justin Bieber. "Believe" it or not, they're moving midterms up a week so as not to conflict with the pop star's scheduled shows in Oslo on April 16 and 17, the original testing dates.  "[L]ove this. 'Schools in Norway move midterms so students can attend Justin Bieber concert,'" Bieber tweeted Wednesday, forwarding a story link to his more than 37 million followers.  PHOTOS: Celebrities by The Times The schools involved are in the Aspelund region, which is a good eight hours' drive from Oslo, according to the Wall Street Journal -- meaning students with tickets would have to skip school to make the shows.

There are some odd questions in post-match interviews at a tennis tournament, but this one was rather cringeworthy. Nineteen-year-old Eugenie Bouchard, not long after reaching the final four at the Australian Open with an impressive three-set win over Ana Ivanovic, was asked whom she would date if she had the opportunity. The Canadian tennis star was clearly embarrassed and eventually answered, saying Justin Bieber. (The sound you heard next were the breaking hearts of "Genie's Army," a group of loyal fans closely following her progress at Melbourne Park)

David Letterman has never been late night TV's most affable host, but during Justin Bieber's visit to “The Late Show” Thursday night, the host was in an especially cantankerous mood. Why the cranky demeanor? Blame it on the Beeb's new body art. The teen heartthrob commemorated the release of his new album, “Believe,” earlier this week with a new tattoo on the inside of his forearm. After spotting the fresh ink, Letterman wondered, “Oh God, how many do you have?

Justin Bieber has said on ABC's "The View" that he's taken a DNA test to show that he's not the father of Mariah Yeater's child -- even though Yeater has withdrawn the paternity suit against the "Baby" singer. “I didn't have to do it, I did it because I wanted to,” he said on the show . “I wanted everything to be out in the open.” That attitude seems in line with the message from companies offering DNA tests. According to an article by The Times'  Karen Kaplan , one company offered a Father's Day discount, suggesting that "a paternity test can be 'a gift of peace of mind.'" Nicely spun.

Justin Bieber is a teen sensation. Pattie Mallette was a teen mom. Mallette, of course, is Bieber's mother. She writes about her difficult childhood in "Nowhere but Up: The Story of Justin Bieber's Mom. " Of course, she also writes about the early years of her talented, heart-throbbing, chart-topping son. But first, Mallette's difficult years. "I've spent most of my adult life sifting through the tangled web of emotional wounds and the debris left by the darkness in my childhood," she writes.

It's one thing to land a celebrity as a commencement speaker upon graduation. When you're Justin Bieber, however, celebs stage the entire ceremony. This was the case on Wednesday as Ellen DeGeneres welcomed the pop star to perform his hit "Boyfriend," and threw in a last-minute surprise: a cap-and-gown rite of passage to celebrate Bieber's completion of his GED requirements. "I know you graduated two weeks ago and you really didn't have a traditional graduation ceremony. So I'm going to give you one right now," Ellen said (video clip below)

Justin Bieber is now a vandalism suspect, authorities said Friday, after a neighbor's house in Calabasas was egged Thursday night. The neighbor called authorities about 7:40 p.m. claiming someone was pelting his home with eggs, said Los Angeles County sheriff's Sgt. Dan Nagelmann of the Malibu/Lost Hills station. The neighbor was home with his daughter at the time, Nagelmann said, adding that sheriff's deputies who responded to the scene found no one outside. Bieber's publicist did not return a call for comment.
