Canadian pop star/cultural experiment Justin Bieber, one of the most documented humans out there right now, is about to make an exciting new appearance in some grainy police surveillance footage. There could be up to 10 hours of it, in case you'd like to clear your schedule. Bieber, now 19, entered a new stage of his public life when he was arrested a month ago on suspicion of drag-racing in Miami Beach while already under investigation for a felony egging incident (really) in Los Angeles County.

Wearing bright orange shoes and sticking his arms out to help steady himself, Justin Bieber stumbled at least twice during a toe-the-line sobriety test at a Miami Beach jail. The video from a jail surveillance camera was among the few scenes that captured Bieber, according to media reports, among 10 hours of video footage released Wednesday by the Miami Beach Police Department. Evidence in criminal cases is public record in Florida once turned over to the defense. Media covering the 19-year-old pop singer's DUI case requested the video's release.

After Justin Bieber was arrested in Miami Beach, he got the same "backstage" treatment as any other arrestee, judging by surveillance video newly released by police. In the video, which can be seen above, the pop star appears to behave himself, unlike he did at the time of he was stopped, when according to the police report he cussed out the arresting officer. Barefoot, he removes his sweatshirt and "assumes the position," hands on a table as he leans forward with his legs spread.

Justin Bieber should find out soon whether he will face felony vandalism charges in the alleged egging of a neighbor's home after Los Angeles County sheriff's detectives turned over their investigation to prosecutors Thursday. Labeling Bieber a suspect in the early January incident, detectives served a felony search warrant looking for "video surveillance or other relevant evidence" that the singer was involved in the incident. Authorities said the incident was classified as a felony because the homeowner in 25000 block of Prado Del Grandioso in Calabasas said the damage totaled $20,000.

Justin Bieber's reputation apparently preceded him early Sunday morning as he tried to party in New York, according to a Monday report. And not in a good way. The 19-year-old was shunned at the door of the New York City club 1 Oak and turned away from at least four Super Bowl parties, according to the New York Daily News' Confidential column. The Biebs' infamy is apparently exceeding the lure of his fame these days. "Most clubs don't want the hassle of having him inside anymore," a night life source told the column, referring to the pop star as "radioactive" because of his recent wild-in-a-bad-way behavior.

To America -- that is to say, the United States -- I say: We owe our neighbors to the north an apology. For too long we have regarded Canadians as the nebbishes of North America -- a nicer, maybe wimpier version of ourselves, Pollyannas in parkas -- a mild-mannered country whose national police wear operetta-red tunics, whose dollar is almost always worth reassuringly less than ours, and whose culinary quirks extend to gravy on French fries....

People sure are smelling a lot of stuff around Justin Bieber lately: The pop singer's private plane was detained and searched at a New Jersey airport Friday after authorities thought they smelled marijuana smoke onboard, according to various reports. Customs and Border Protection agents began a search shortly after the plane arrived at Teterboro Airport from Toronto around 3 p.m. Friday, ABC News sources said. A canine team gave the whole aircraft the sniff test, but no drugs were found onboard, according to the New York Daily News . The flight was crossing the border after Bieber on Wednesday turned himself in to Toronto police for booking on suspicion of assault on a limo driver back in December.
