In case you missed it over the weekend, Justin Timberlake wrapped up his five-night residency at "Late Night" as we all knew he would: by teaming up with Jimmy Fallon on the fourth installment of the "History of Rap," their popular ongoing collaboration. This time around, the duo performed a medley of hits from at least four different decades, though '90s nostalgists in particular will be thrilled by the inclusion of songs like "Gin and Juice," "Shoop" and "Rump Shaker. " The performance culminated with Fallon and Timberlake doing their own version of Eminem's 2002 hit "Lose Yourself," complete with a triumphant run up the stairs.

Booking Justin Timberlake for South by Southwest is like riding a limo to a garage sale. Just because you can doesn't mean you should. Timberlake, in the middle of a multimillion-dollar media blitz to support his new record, “The 20/20 Experience,” landed in Austin on Saturday night to perform for an overflowing crowd new and old music in a sweaty little warehouse space. Replete with a full band -- horns, background singers, percussionists included -- he did so like a pro, hitting all his cues, pumping up a crowd drunk on free vodka and singing his sexy jams.

It's not hard to figure out why Justin Timberlake has been pushing an old-school vibe in the run-up to his third studio album, "The 20/20 Experience.” He performed at the Grammy Awards and more recently on "Saturday Night Live" wearing a tuxedo, leading a similarly clad band stationed behind Art Deco music stands. "As long as I got my suit and tie, I'm-a leave it all on the floor tonight," he sings in "Suit & Tie," the snazzy lead single from the album, due out Tuesday. "All pressed up in black and white, and you're dressed in that dress I like.

Justin Timberlake's unofficial takeover of NBC continued Tuesday on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon," where he's camped out all week long following his fifth "SNL" hosting gig on Saturday. On the second night of "Justin Timberweek," the singer performed a new song, "Mirrors," from his upcoming album, but it was his unusual rendition of "SexyBack" that was the standout moment of the episode. At the suggestion of a viewer, Timberlake teamed up with "The Ragtime Gals" -- "Late Night's" in-house barbershop quartet, known for their covers of raunchy songs like "It Wasn't Me" -- on a new version of the infectious 2006 hit single.

Just as we were giving Justin Timberlake a bit of credit for his sly comeback to Kanye West, the singer is already backtracking. In case you missed it during Timberlake's guest stint on NBC's “Saturday Night Live” over the weekend, he switched the lyrics to his hit “Suit & Tie,” which appeared to be a witty retort to West's diss of Timberlake's laid-back comeback record “My hit's so sick, got rappers acting dramatic,” Timberlake coolly...

Justin Timberlake's guest shot on NBC's “Saturday Night Live” over the weekend featured an encore performance of his current hit “Suit & Tie” with a lyric change that appeared to answer Kanye West's recent diss of his duet with Jay-Z. “My hit's so sick, got rappers acting dramatic,” Timberlake sang, an apparent comeback to West's comment about the song last month during a show in London, at which he told the audience, “I got love for Hova, but I ain't [expletive] with that 'Suit & Tie.'” His SNL gig was his fifth time hosting the show, a rare feat recognized in the opening skit in which Timberlake was awarded his membership in “The Five Timers Club,” described as “the most exclusive club in New York City.” IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Grammys 2013 On entering an old-school drawing room, Timberlake was presented a smoking jacket emblazoned with a gold “5” and immediately ran into fellow club member Paul Simon strumming an acoustic guitar.

Having hosted “Saturday Night Live” four times before this weekend, Justin Timberlake was more than prepared for his fifth appearance, but to the delight of many fans, he chose to incorporate veteran “SNL” hosts and former cast members into the show. For his monologue, the show's writers revived the concept of the “ Five-Timers Club, ” which was first introduced in 1990 when Tom Hanks joined the club (for a full list of Five-Timers, go here , and check out the original Five-Timers sketch, with a baby-faced Conan O'Brien as the doorman, here )
