It took a last-minute 70-yard touchdown pass to Jacoby Jones in regulation and another Corey Graham interception, but the Baltimore Ravens and Ray Lewis are moving on. A classic AFC divisional playoff matchup ended when rookie Justin Tucker split the uprights from 47 yards out in the second overtime to send the Ravens to a 38-35 victory over the Denver Broncos in front of a stunned crowd of 76,603 at Sports Authority Field at Mile High Stadium....

Justin Tucker is the man for the Baltimore Ravens. With the game - and quite possibly the entire season - on the line Monday night against the Detroit Lions, Coach John Harbaugh didn't turn to quarterback Joe Flacco, the reigning Super Bowl MVP and the highest-paid player in NFL history. Nope. On fourth-and-eight with 38 seconds remaining and the Ravens trailing by one, Harbaugh decided to let the guy who had accounted for all 15 of his team's points that night and who had made 32 straight field goals on the season attempt one more.

NEW ORLEANS - The San Francisco 49ers made a dramatic move with the midseason quarterback switch from Alex Smith to Colin Kaepernick . But the Baltimore Ravens made an equally drastic adjustment, changing offensive coordinators from Cam Cameron to Jim Caldwell on Dec. 10. The switch to Caldwell, the former Indianapolis coach, is among the bigger story lines of Super Bowl XLVII. "[Coach] John Harbaugh and I were sounding boards for each other," Ravens General Manager Ozzie Newsome said of the coordinator change.

NEW ORLEANS - The Baltimore Ravens rolled the dice late in the second quarter Sunday by running a fake field-goal try on fourth and nine from the San Francisco 14. Rookie kicker Justin Tucker took the direct snap, sprinted to his left and ran to the 49ers six, where he was pushed out of bounds a yard shy of the first down. "It was one of those things that I felt like was just very disrespectful," linebacker Patrick Willis said. "It's one of those things where they said that they are going to go for the fake because, 'We think we can score on y'all at any time.

Torrey Smith pointed skyward after his first touchdown reception Sunday night. He knelt in prayer in the end zone after scoring a second time. The Baltimore Ravens receiver played a significant role in his team's 31-30 victory over the New England Patriots. And being out there on the field with his teammates was significant for Smith, whose younger brother, Tevin Jones, died in a motorcycle accident less than 24 hours earlier. "My teammates, they keep you focused," said Smith, who caught six passes for 127 yards in the rematch of last year's AFC championship game.

Ravens 34, 49ers 31 (final) The Baltimore Ravens have defeated the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII. It's the second championship for the Ravens and linebacker Ray Lewis, who is retiring after 17 seasons. After taking a safety on their final possession, Baltimore punted to San Francisco, which was unable to set up a return and suffered its first loss in six appearances in the NFL championship game. San Francisco never led in the game, but the 49ers still had a chance to win the when punt returner Ted Ginn Jr. fielded the punt.

Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker booted a 27-yard field goal as time expired Sunday to beat the New England Patriots, 31-30. Right? The ball sailed over the right upright, leaving viewers to wonder if the kick was actually good - except for Ravens fans (it was totally good!) and Patriots fans (these replacement refs are horrible!). One man has been preaching the solution to this problem for years, and I now consider myself a follower of his sermon. Adam Carolla, radio host and founder of Carolla Digital , has suggested extending the uprights at least a half dozen times since I started tuning in regularly a couple of years back.

Peyton Manning surely is discovering the perks of being named Sports Illustrated's sportsman of the year. Not the least of which seems to be getting your own tribute song and video performed by none other than Bootsy Collins. No joke! Sports Illustrated For Kids has released a music video of Bootzilla singing a funky (of course) homage to the Denver Broncos quarterback set to the tune of "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town. " Titled "Peyton Manning's Passing Your Way," Collins dedicates the jam to NFL defensive backs.

Anquan Boldin was kept pretty much in check the last time he played in the Super Bowl. Then a member of the Arizona Cardinals, Boldin had eight catches for 84 yards and no touchdowns during a loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XLIII. Four years later with the Baltimore Ravens, Boldin had quite an impact on the result of Super Bowl XLVII. He made six catches for 104 yards, including a 13-yard touchdown catch (see the beginning of the video above), in the Ravens' 34-31 victory over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday night.
