One of Lincoln's two Super Bowl commercials airing on Sunday involves Jimmy Fallon, Rev. Run of Run-DMC, viewer-generated tweets, Emmitt Smith and Wil Wheaton. One does not. And that's the good one. The first ad is the result of a much-publicized campaign the automaker undertook in collaboration with comedian and late-night host Fallon. Dubbed SteerTheScript, Fallon's Twitter followers were asked to submit stories from their most memorable road trips. More than 6,000 tweets were submitted, Lincoln said.

Showtime's terrorism thriller "Homeland" has nearly everything: big-name stars, glossy production values and a surprising triple Emmy sweep last week. The one thing it lacks? A giant audience. But under TV's new economics, big ratings don't necessarily matter anymore. "Homeland" is a tense drama about an emotionally troubled CIA agent played by Claire Danes, who's plagued by doubts about a U.S. Marine (Damian Lewis) held captive by Al Qaeda. It costs about $3 million an episode to make but averaged fewer than 2 million viewers in its initial airings - less than one-tenth of what a broadcast hit such as CBS' "NCIS" gets.

Johnny Galecki seeks to be average. The star of "The Big Bang Theory" is seated outside a small Hollywood restaurant, talking about his longing to play ordinary, run-of-the-mill figures rather than the larger-than-life characters that actors and audiences sometimes embrace. "Guys like Dustin Hoffman and Jack Lemmon have always been my leading men," said the 36-year-old, leather jacket-clad actor, who minutes before was crushing the butt of a luxury cigarette with his scuffed combat boot.

Kaley Cuoco, known for her role as Bridget Hennessy on the former ABC sitcom "8 Simple Rules," was shopping for a new house so that Zeus, her much-beloved German shepherd, could have a bigger yard. In anticipation of buying, Cuoco listed her 2,100-square-foot, Spanish-style home in Sherman Oaks at close to $1.3 million. The one-story house, built in 1937, has a remodeled kitchen plus three bedrooms and 2 3/4 bathrooms.
