Attorney Gloria Allred filed a lawsuit against Kanye West on behalf of a photographer who was allegedly assaulted by the rapper and blasted celebrities who defend the singer's conduct. In the lawsuit, video photographer Danny Ramos alleges assault, battery, negligence and violation of civil rights. Ramos and Allred said they were speaking out because West had still not apologized for his behavior, and because other celebrities had spoken out in support of West's actions -- which would seem to encourage others to harm members of the paparazzi.

Kanye West is scheduled to perform Saturday night on the season finale of "Saturday Night Live," where the rapper is widely expected to preview material from an upcoming album that may be released on June 18. A day before that rather conventional media appearance, though, West took to his Twitter feed Friday evening to announce something more unusual. "NEW SONG AND VISUAL FROM MY NEW ALBUM BEING PROJECTED TONIGHT ACROSS THE GLOBE ON 66 BUILDINGS," he wrote, directing viewers to his website for locations that included spots in Los Angeles, New York, Miami, Paris, London, Sydney and West's hometown of Chicago.

"I'm doing 500 / I'm out of control now," Kanye West growled halfway through "Black Skinhead," one of two new songs the rap superstar performed on "Saturday Night Live. " Here's the thing, though: For all the righteous fury he summoned in "Black Skinhead" -- which appears to have been inspired in part by reactions to his relationship with Kim Kardashian -- West never sounded out of control Saturday. His performance was a thrilling master class in applied energy, a focused beam of intensity aimed directly at a "Middle America packed in ... to see me in my black skin," as he put it in lyrics he posted to Twitter following the show.

Kim Kardashian has said numerous times that she and boyfriend Kanye West are taking things slowly, but is it ever too soon to start thinking about forever? Despite last year's implosion of her 72-day marriage to NBA player Kris Humphries and West's general unpredictability, it appears Kardashian has already exchanged "I love you's" with the rapper and is thinking ahead to their old age. Gracing the cover of New York magazine's fall fashion issue, Kardashian invited readers on a ride-along of a recent day in New York City, where she's been sharing West's SoHo condominium.

Someone alert the paparazzi: Kanye West is not a celebrity, and you guys can pack up and go home. Nothing to see here. That was the intended takeaway, at least, from another classic-Kanye monologue during West's set Thursday night at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City. West's show was tied to Adult Swim and its part in the TV industry's advertiser-luring event known as the upfronts. But as West is wont to do, he stole the show with a fiery defense of his own artistry.
