Kathy Griffin started her career with L.A.'s famed Groundlings troupe before appearing on "ER," "The X-Files" and "Seinfeld," where she played the recurring character Sally Weaver. Griffin went on to costar alongside Brooke Shields in "Suddenly Susan" before starring in her own reality show, Bravo's Emmy-winning, "Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List. " A veteran stand-up performer, Griffin will appear for two back-to-back nights of comedy at the historic Pantages Theatre. To promote its Emmy nomination, A&E bought a print ad for "Hoarders" that used quotes from celebrity fan Kathy Griffin. The problem? "Hoarders" and Bravo's "Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List" are both nominated in the reality program category. Not happy with her competitor's tactic, Griffin has come out with her own Emmy promo ad that reads, "Quoting me in an Emmy ad? Bravo, Hoarders. BRAVO. " Griffin is pictured among stacks of newspapers and magazines, a la "Hoarders.

Kathy Griffin was sitting in her sparse dressing room when one of her minions presented her with a golden chalice. But the ornate container wasn't filled with Cristal Champagne or chocolate truffles. Griffin's life on the D-list apparently means that her cup runneth over with pint-sized packages of peanut butter. And the chalice? It's made of plastic. "Well, aren't I the big star?" she teased, shoving a spoonful of the peanut butter into her mouth in hopes of a protein boost. The flame-haired 49-year-old comedian known for her acerbic humor ?

Dancer, singer and actress Julianne Hough, who plays a victim of abuse in the upcoming film "Safe Haven," has her own backstory of abuse suffered as a child, she revealed to Cosmopolitan in the mag's February issue. After winning a five-year scholarship to the Italia Conti Academy of the Arts, where her brother Derek Hough was studying, a 10-year-old Julianne headed from Utah to London to train in dance. The now-24-year-old told the mag that while in London, far from her recently divorced parents, "I was abused, mentally, physically, everything," she said.

Comedian Beth Lapides is stretching herself these days - both literally and creatively. The longtime yogi and co-host of the weekly variety show at 1st and Hope, “ UnCabaret ,” will teach a class at Silverlake Yoga for the next seven weeks. “It's serious; you don't want students to feel they have to laugh,” Lapides says.  “But I do bring my quirky comedy sensibility to it.  I think sense of humor is our seventh sense - and hopefully you're more open to it after you leave.” Lapides, who used to write a monthly column for LA Yoga Magazine called “ My Other Car Is a Yoga Mat ,” has been a staple of the L.A. comedy scene for more than two decades.

You will not - not - photograph Anderson Cooper on an airplane. Or at least that's how the news anchor and Ministry crush told it to Kathy Griffin, who will have Cooper on her new Bravo talk show Thursday evening. Anderson discussed some emotional turbulence that hit on his flight from New York to Los Angeles for the interview, where a man next to him used his iPhone's front-facing camera to catch some sneaky photos of Cooper. Compounding the scene: Olympic figure skater Johnny Weir was seated next to him. And Cooper wasn't having the intrusion at 6 a.m. "Normally I would just be like, 'We're not going to win this one,' but I've lately become emboldened," Cooper told Griffin in the exclusive video clip (with some profanity)
