Sunny Hills High School is demonstrating that when a team averages 297 yards rushing per game, it doesn't need a passing attack. Sunny Hills (3-0) will continue its ground assault at 7:30 tonight when the Lancers play Canyon (1-2) at Buena Park's Spaulding Field. Rick Orr, the Sunny Hills quarterback, has completed six of only 17 passes for 136 yards. But the Lancers' backfield combination of Brian Pizula and Ken Overby has more than made up for the lack of an air attack. Pizula, averaging 13.

Peter Holt kicked a 32-yard field goal as time expired Saturday night, lifting San Diego State to a 22-20 victory over California that ended the Aztecs' 17-game winless streak against Pacific 10 Conference schools.
