Orange Coast Magazine Editor Resigns: Orange Coast magazine's editor of four years, Erik Himmelsbach, said Wednesday that he has resigned to take a position as managing editor of the LA Reader in Los Angeles. Costa Mesa-based Orange Coast promoted Lynn Beresford, formerly managing editor, to replace him. Himmelsbach, 28, a former free-lance contributor to Newsweek magazine, said he expects the Reader to focus on reaching people on L.A.'

The Los Angeles Reader is going undercover. Beginning with today's issue, a glossy color cover is being added to the alternative weekly newspaper, which will now call itself a magazine. The rest of the publication will continue to be printed on newsprint.
