Once at odds with a conservative religious organization over Proposition 187, a new statewide group of Latino evangelical church leaders has now joined it on an equally passionate front: gay rights. Called La Amistad, the group of mostly Spanish-speaking Protestant Pentecostal congregations is aggressively fighting gay rights legislation being considered in Sacramento.
