Los Angeles Clippers forward Lamar Odom is being investigated in connection with a reported battery and grand theft incident involving a paparazzo in Hollywood, L.A. police said Thursday. The incident, which was captured on video, took place around 4:45 p.m. Wednesday on El Cerrito Place near Franklin Avenue. The video shows a photographer questioning Odom about whether he was having a relationship with a woman other than his wife, Khloe Kardashian. Odom then appears to confiscate a rolling bag believed to contain camera equipment, place it in the trunk of his white Mercedes coup and drive off. In the same video, he appears again on Hollywood Boulevard removing the items from his trunk and leaving them on the street.

It took a day, but Lamar Odom's smile and infectious personality returned. He joked and talked about his beloved New York Yankees and the NFL and demonstrated his new boxing skills Wednesday. Fun-loving, easy-going Lamar Odom was back, even after he had been tailed by paparazzi in about a half-dozen vehicles on his way to Lakers practice. At Tuesday's media day, Odom looked uncomfortable when all the talk surrounded his marriage Sunday to reality TV star Khloe Kardashian.

The Clippers are still discussing a trade for Lamar Odom, but as of Thursday night no deal has been reached, according to a team official who was not authorized to speak publicly on the matter. The Clippers are trying to land Odom from the Dallas Mavericks in a three-team trade that would send Clippers guard Mo Williams to the Utah Jazz, according to an NBA official familiar with the talks. There have been reports that Williams had agreed to pick up the option on his $8.5-million contract for next season on Friday so the Odom deal could go through, but that is inaccurate, according to Clippers officials.

Lamar Odom is a laid-back guy. We've known that for years -- the guy can just be really, really mellow sometimes, and we've grown to love that about him. But sometimes that demeanor might not be the most appropriate ... like, say, when one is attending a child-custody hearing. That's probably not the best time to kick back and catch a little shut-eye. The Clippers forward found that out the hard way in a Manhattan courthouse Tuesday, according to a report in the New York Post.
