Los Angeles Clippers forward Lamar Odom is being investigated in connection with a reported battery and grand theft incident involving a paparazzo in Hollywood, L.A. police said Thursday. The incident, which was captured on video, took place around 4:45 p.m. Wednesday on El Cerrito Place near Franklin Avenue. The video shows a photographer questioning Odom about whether he was having a relationship with a woman other than his wife, Khloe Kardashian. Odom then appears to confiscate a rolling bag believed to contain camera equipment, place it in the trunk of his white Mercedes coup and drive off. In the same video, he appears again on Hollywood Boulevard removing the items from his trunk and leaving them on the street.

It took a day, but Lamar Odom's smile and infectious personality returned. He joked and talked about his beloved New York Yankees and the NFL and demonstrated his new boxing skills Wednesday. Fun-loving, easy-going Lamar Odom was back, even after he had been tailed by paparazzi in about a half-dozen vehicles on his way to Lakers practice. At Tuesday's media day, Odom looked uncomfortable when all the talk surrounded his marriage Sunday to reality TV star Khloe Kardashian.

It was only a matter of time once the divorce papers were filed: Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom's Tarzana house is up for sale. A mere $5.499 million will get you the keys to the 8,000-square-foot kingdom, Hot Property reported Wednesday. The couple paid $3.95 million for the house, which sits on three-quarters of an acre in Mulholland Park, in 2009. Before the youngest Kardashian sister filed papers with the court Dec. 13, she and Odom had been living apart for months, their relationship on the rocks while the basketball player allegedly struggled with a drug problem amid rumors of infidelity.

Lamar Odom said Tuesday that he will not sit out the Clippers' season opener against the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday night at Staples Center. “Yeah, I'm playing,” Odom said. “And don't call it a comeback, either. I'll be ready to play.” Odom had sat out two weeks of practice because of a bone bruise in his left foot. He sat out the last five exhibition games. He last played Oct. 14, against the Miami Heat in Shanghai. Odom was acquired from the Dallas Mavericks to be the primary backup big man for starters Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan.

The Clippers are still discussing a trade for Lamar Odom, but as of Thursday night no deal has been reached, according to a team official who was not authorized to speak publicly on the matter. The Clippers are trying to land Odom from the Dallas Mavericks in a three-team trade that would send Clippers guard Mo Williams to the Utah Jazz, according to an NBA official familiar with the talks. There have been reports that Williams had agreed to pick up the option on his $8.5-million contract for next season on Friday so the Odom deal could go through, but that is inaccurate, according to Clippers officials.

When Lamar Odom pulled up to Staples Center, he took a deep breath. He walked past the Lakers locker room, where he spent seven seasons and won two NBA championships. Then he walked into the Clippers locker room, where he began his career in 1999. It was a surreal experience for Odom who left Los Angeles in December after being dealt to Dallas. "I was having some moments of deja vu when I first got here," Odom said. "I was 19 years old, I'm 32, you know, it's an amazing place to play basketball.

There is a chance that Lamar Odom's career could come full circle. The 6-foot-10 forward who began his career with the Clippers is reportedly being pursued by the team. According to ESPN, the team and the Dallas Mavericks have talked about a trade that would send Odom back to the Clippers, where he played from 1999-2000 through 2002-2003. Former NBA player Lamar Odom pleaded not guilty Wednesday to a DUI charge stemming from his August arrest on the 101 Freeway in the San Fernando Valley, the Los Angeles city attorney's office said. Richard Hutton, Odom's lawyer, entered the plea on Odom's behalf at the Van Nuys courthouse, said city attorney spokesman Frank Mateljan. Odom, a former Laker and Clipper forward, was arrested Aug. 30 after he was spotted allegedly driving erratically on the freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Lamar Odom is a laid-back guy. We've known that for years -- the guy can just be really, really mellow sometimes, and we've grown to love that about him. But sometimes that demeanor might not be the most appropriate ... like, say, when one is attending a child-custody hearing. That's probably not the best time to kick back and catch a little shut-eye. The Clippers forward found that out the hard way in a Manhattan courthouse Tuesday, according to a report in the New York Post.

Lamar Odom appears to be done playing for the Dallas Mavericks. According to multiple sources, the former two-time NBA champion with the Lakers will not play the rest of the season for the Mavericks, although he will not be waived by the team. Odom informed ESPN.com of the arrangement, which has been confirmed by various sources close to the Mavericks but hasn't been officially announced by the team. "The Mavericks and I have mutually agreed that it's in the best interest of both parties for me to step away from the team," Odom said in a statement to ESPN.com. "I'm sorry that things didn't work out better for both of us, but I wish the Mavs' organization, my teammates and Dallas fans nothing but continued success in the defense of their championship.
