Four Latin Nations to Offer Mexico Credit Line: Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Chile have agreed to offer a $1-billion line of credit to help Mexico overcome its financial crisis, Argentina's president announced. "Brazil and Argentina will contribute $300 million each, and Colombia and Chile $200 million each," President Carlos Menem said. Menem said the loan is a "show of solidarity between Latin American countries."
