UFC fighter Chael Sonnen, never at a loss to try to draw attention to himself, appeared on "Jim Rome on Showtime" on Wednesday night, and decided to call out LeBron James and the NBA Finals. "I think LeBron's a dork," James said. "I don't understand this whole thing. It frustrates me to hear that these guys are world champions. He won one world championship, and it was in the Olympic Games. It's so aggravating to hear a title be called a world championship when it's only done in America.

Don't call Pau Gasol soft. On Sunday afternoon, the 250-pound 7-footer stepped in front of LeBron James and nudged him when he saw James acting aggressively toward one of his teammates. The tussle happened at the end of the third quarter after James, frustrated over a non-call, gave a forearm shiver to Troy Murphy. Gasol immediately intervened and dealt James a bit of push. "I saw that he elbowed a little bit or shoved Troy," Gasol said. "At one point you have to say, 'It's enough.'" "If the officials don't make a big deal about it or don't make a certain call then you have to force the issue a little bit and make them understand this is going on, we're not going to take this kind of thing here.

As he slides into re-election mode, President Obama has been granting a series of local television interviews in key states such as Ohio. But the president Monday didn't do himself any favors while talking to a Cleveland TV reporter, specifically bringing up the one man, in local terms, Who Shall Not Be Named. That's LeBron James, who departed the hometown Cleveland Cavaliers last year for the Miami Heat. Now James is on the verge of an NBA title, a result that the lion's share of Clevelanders view as something on the order of the apocalypse.

Once the final minutes tick down, Kobe Bryant and LeBron James remain a study in contrasts. Bryant looks to make the game-winner, no matter the obstacles: the shot clock winding down, poorly run offense, swarm of double teams. Usually nothing stops Bryant from taking the last shot. A courageous act for some, selfishness for others. James looks to the make the correct basketball play, no matter how much the public expects him to take the final shot. If he sees a double team, James finds the open guy, such as when he found Udonis Haslem open for a 16-footer in the Heat's loss Friday to Utah.

Michael Jordan still picks Kobe Bryant over LeBron James. Jordan, according to Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel , said he views the Lakers star guard as the more successful player to date when compared to the Miami Heat All-Star. "If you had to pick between the two, that would be a tough choice," said Jordan, "but five beats one every time I look at it. " Bryant has five titles with the Lakers with seven trips to the NBA Finals. James has one championship with three finals' appearances.

LeBron James may be finding out that while it's good to be king, bragging about the perks you receive might not be the best idea. The Miami Heat superstar posted a video on Instagram from inside a car following a police escort on the wrong side of the road to Sun Life Stadium for Friday night's Justin Timberlake/Jay Z concert. He also tweeted a link to the video along with some comments that made him look a bit like a clueless celebrity loving his privileged life: They treat us so well!

Basketball forums across the Web are constantly filled with a question that can never be answered: Who is the best basketball player of all time? Looks as though fans aren't the only ones wondering. The wallpaper on Lebron James' cellphone apparently is a digitally created photo of himself standing in triple-threat position as Michael Jordan, in his prime, guards him. "Jordan was my superhero growing up," James told Sports Illustrated. "He was the guy I feel helped me get to where I am today.
