For about 10 years, Mission Viejo residents have been waiting for a new library. That wait is almost over. On Saturday, the city will celebrate the grand opening of its $6.5-million, 27,650-square-foot library. Anticipation is already building. Library workers putting the finishing touches on the gleaming, state-of-the-art building "are running on adrenaline," said Valerie Meyer, the city's head librarian. Meyer said her phone is "ringing off the hook."
