Datametrics, a Chatsworth producer of printers and other computer accessories, said it was awarded a $1.2-million contract from Litton Corp. The contract calls for Datametrics to deliver 62 high-speed printers to Litton for inclusion in a U.S. Army mobile-communications system that Litton is producing. Deliveries of Datametrics' machines to Litton's Data Systems division in Van Nuys are scheduled to start in March.

Litton division presidents John M. Leonis, Thomas J. McGuigan and Allen E. Powers have been elected corporate vice presidents. Leonis is president of Litton's guidance and control systems division, Woodland Hills. McGuigan is head of Litton Systems Canada Ltd., Ontario. Powers is in charge of Litton's data systems division, Van Nuys. All three divisions are units of Litton's advanced electronic systems group. Litton Industries is based in Beverly Hills.

Litton Industries Inc. has put its Van Nuys plant up for sale, with an asking price of $2.35 million, according to Beitler Commercial Realty Services. The plant, which consists of two buildings totaling nearly 48,000 square feet, formerly housed Litton's Data Systems division. Litton Industries Inc., consolidating in the face of shrinking defense budgets, said it's moving its Van Nuys operation into its Agoura Hills plant and will merge its Moorpark operation into its Woodland Hills facility. Litton, a Beverly Hills-based defense, aerospace and industrial products concern, also hopes to sell the abandoned facilities in Moorpark and Van Nuys for a total of $45.5 million, said Litton spokesman Robert Knapp.
