The Roy W. Dean Film Grant Award was presented to Mindy Pomper for "Trailblazers: Unsung Military Heroines of World War II" on Aug. 11 during ceremonies held at the Directors Guild of America. The $15,000 prize is awarded to aspiring documentary filmmakers, and the winner and four finalists were chosen from more than 7,000 submissions.
