The Medical Board of California has accused a Beverly Hills fertility doctor of a pattern of gross negligence that led to the birth of Nadya Suleman's 14 children, including the world's longest-surviving octuplets, and created a "stockpile" of unused frozen embryos which serve "no clinical purpose." The 13-page accusation filed in December against Dr. Michael Kamrava paints a picture of 11 years of medical care in which Suleman returned to Kamrava's office again and again to undergo fertility treatments.

" Octomom " Nadya Suleman, who drew international attention in 2009 when she gave birth to octuplets, has been  charged with an additional count of welfare fraud, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office said Wednesday. The amended felony complaint includes an additional count of aid by misrepresentation, and alleges Suleman, 38, received nearly $10,000 in Medi-Cal benefits she was not entitled to. Prosecutors said earlier this month that Suleman received $16,481 in state welfare payments during the first half of 2013 that she would not have been sent had she properly disclosed nearly $30,000 in earnings during that same period.

A jailed member of Russian punk band Pussy Riot has gone missing in the country's prison system, her family says. Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, known commonly as Nadya, was scheduled to be transferred from a prison in the Republic of Mordovia on Oct. 21, after embarking on a hunger strike to protest conditions there. But she has not been heard from since, her family said, nor has any information been forthcoming from government officials. “There's no proof she's alive,” Andrei Tolokonnikov, Nadya's father, told the website Buzzfeed.

"Octomom" Nadya Suleman, who drew international attention in 2009 when she gave birth to octuplets, could face years in jail for allegedly failing to disclose nearly $30,000 in earnings when she applied for welfare last year, prosecutors announced Monday. Suleman, 38, is only the second U.S. woman to deliver a healthy set of octuplets. The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office said prosecutors recently charged her with one count of aid by misrepresentation and two counts of perjury by false application for aid. Suleman, who has a total of 14 children, filed for welfare in Lancaster in January and February of last year, but in the following months didn't report all of her income from personal appearances and video royalties, Deputy Dist.

“Octomom” Nadya Suleman filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy on Monday in Orange County, suggesting there's some validity to the notion that for a single mom with 14 kids and no steady job, it can be difficult to pay the bills. "I have had to make some very difficult decisions this year, and filing Chapter 7 was one of them," Suleman told the Orange County Register in an email sent by her manager. "But I have to do what is best for my children, and I need a fresh start. " Among those tough choices: Deciding to accept $2,000 a month in food stamps and posing nearly nude in March for British magazine Closer -- though she told Anderson Cooper she was “not ashamed” of what she'd done in exchange for $8,000.

Even in this economy, Nadya Suleman, a.k.a. the “Octomom,” continues to find work, albeit with a killer commute: The La Habra mama has booked a stripper gig at a gentleman's club in Florida. Next week, Suleman will perform seven times over four days at T's Lounge in West Palm Beach, according to the club's website. And yes, the mother of octuplets, twins and a handful of other tykes “will appear topless at some point during her show,” her rep told CNN on Monday. What audiences can expect during the rest of the show was unclear - though perhaps that's for the best.
