By the time you read this, the world will have peered inside the undoubtedly depressing and quite possibly child-endangering world of the nation's reigning social pariah. I'm referring to Wednesday night's two-hour special on Fox, "Octomom: The Incredible Unseen Footage." At press time, I'd only seen clips, but I think I can guarantee that we're in for another wave of Octo-villification, not to mention some major sanctimony. Nadya Suleman, in case anyone's lucky enough to need a briefing, is the woman who gave birth to eight premature babies in January, the result of the implantation of six embryos, two of which split.

Listening to Kate Gosselin stutter and sniff her way through her recent chats with "Today's" Meredith Vieira, it was hard to keep a straight face. Kate doesn't blame the decision to participate in TLC's "Jon & Kate Plus 8" for the disintegration of her marriage; it probably would have happened anyway. Really? Your husband would have left you for a Star reporter and/or the daughter of the plastic surgeon who gave you a tummy tuck (free, because it was filmed), even if you had just remained some obscure church-going Pennsylvania family with a bunch of kids?

The Octomom is finally ready for prime time. Nadya Suleman, the single mother of 14 children, will be featured in a Fox special "Octomom: The Incredible Unseen Footage" that producers say will offer a "jaw-dropping" look into her chaotic life. The special, which will air Aug. 19, was compiled from footage shot by RadarOnline.com, which has had full access to Suleman since last March, when she brought the first two of her octuplets home to her La Habra residence. "The access they got is amazing," said Mike Darnell, Fox's head of alternative programming.

California's top labor official Tuesday slapped four citations on the celebrity gossip website that has been chronicling the life of octuplets mom Nadya Suleman and her 14 children. The fledgling Internet site, RadarOnline.com, quickly established itself as the go-to source for Suleman gossip. Week after week, it posted peeks into Suleman's juggling act of caring for octuplets and six older children as a single, unemployed mother.

Earlier this year, Los Angeles attorney Gloria Allred held news conferences on behalf of nurses upset about how octuplet mother Nadya Suleman cared for her children. Now, Allred has another client who has a problem with Suleman: former child actor Paul Petersen, president of A Minor Consideration, a nonprofit foundation that supports young performers.

Another octuplet has been discharged from the hospital and sent home to join 12 siblings in La Habra. That leaves only one of Nadya Suleman's babies at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Bellflower. Hospital officials say Josiah weighed 4 pounds, 8 ounces when he was released Wednesday. The release of the final octuplet has not been announced, though Kaiser officials say the child is doing well.

Two more of Nadya Suleman's octuplets, girls Maliyah Angel and Nariyah Angel, were quietly discharged Saturday afternoon from Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Bellflower. A Kaiser spokesperson said the girls each weighed about 5 pounds 2 ounces. The babies are being bottle-fed, are gaining weight and can maintain their body temperature, according to a Kaiser statement. "It's an important milestone in the care of the octuplets," said Dr. Mandhir Gupta, a neonatologist at Kaiser.
