Comic and actor Cheech Marin has listed a home in Malibu at $5,995,000. The 1929 Craftsman-style house sits on nearly an acre on a low bluff above 120 feet of beach frontage. The three-bedroom main house includes a master suite with stained-glass windows. A three-bedroom guesthouse has a gym and a detached music room. Since he partnered with Tommy Chong in the '70s and '80s counterculture comedy duo Cheech & Chong, the 64-year-old Marin has starred on "Nash Bridges" (1996-2001)

After seven years, Don Johnson has returned to television in a role strikingly similar to the slick drug-enforcement agent he played on "Miami Vice." Once again, he portrays a high-profile cop, he drives a souped-up sports car and he lives in a penthouse apartment with an expensive view. And he's seen at 10 p.m. on Fridays.

Working stiffs take vacations and working actors go on hiatus. I learned from Kelly Hu that taking a break doesn't necessarily mean kicking back. "This hiatus," the actress explained, "is time to get in shape and do all the things that I've been wanting to do." When the actress was done filming "Nash Bridges" (CBS) in San Francisco, she returned to her home in L.A. and went on a workout kick. "I'm trying to get physically and mentally prepared so that when the season starts, I'm ready for it."

The American Society of Cinematographers announced Friday morning that Dean Semler, Rodney Charters, Robby Muller and Curtis Clark will be honored during the 27th annual ASC Outstanding Achievement Awards on Feb. 10 at the Hollywood & Highland Grand Ballroom. Semler, who has made nearly 70 features and won an Oscar for the 1990 film "Dances With Wolves," will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award. Charters, who began his career on documentaries and has worked on such TV series as "24," "Nash Bridges" and now "Nashville," is set to receive the Career Achievement in Television honor.

CBS has dropped two long-running dramas, "Nash Bridges" and "Diagnosis Murder," as well as its Wednesday night movie in a revised prime-time lineup that also pits a new unscripted series, "The Amazing Race," against NBC's "The West Wing."

Looks like there is an Emmy ratings bounce. "Homeland," fresh from its surprise Emmy win for drama series last month, scored with its Season 2 premiere on Sunday, delivering 1.7 million viewers for Showtime, according to Nielsen. That was a 60% jump compared with the Season 1 premiere last year. With the program running three times Sunday night, the entire audience was 2.1 million - giving the show its highest viewership total ever. Overall, Showtime had its most-watched Sunday ever.

Actor Don Johnson's Beverly Hills-area home is on the market for $3.25 million. Johnson, 49, spends most of his time in San Francisco, where he plays the title role in the CBS series "Nash Bridges," co-starring Cheech Marin. Since the series started, Johnson's Beverly Hills-area house has been leased at various times to such entertainment figures as rock singer Ozzy Osbourne. Johnson has owned the home for about 10 years.

CHEECH MARIN, who plays Joe Dominguez on Don Johnson's CBS crime drama "Nash Bridges," and his wife, artist Patti Heid, have decided to lease out one of the houses in their beachfront Malibu compound. Marin was in three 1996 movies: "From Dusk Till Dawn," "The Great White Hype" and "Tin Cup," in which he sang "Estoy Sentado Aqui."
