The assets of insolvent Mission American Insurance will be transferred to a Delaware-based insurance firm in exchange for stock under an agreement announced Thursday by California insurance officials. National American Insurance Co. of California--a subsidiary of Kramer Capital Partners and KCP Holding, a Delaware corporation--will absorb Mission American's assets in return for KCP stock.

Now, only four are missing. Just a day after the anniversary of the crash of TWA Flight 800, the Suffolk County medical examiner said Friday that seven more victims, including a Newport Beach man, have been positively identified by matching DNA from their remains to genetic material found in their personal items or relatives' blood samples. That brings the total identified to 226 out of the 230 aboard the plane.

Each of the framed pictures on the table at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Parish Church revealed another dimension to the life of William Robert Story. There were pictures of Story the devoted husband and parent on a ski trip with his wife, Judy, and two stepdaughters, Anna, 16, and Jillian, 24. Then there was the picture of Story the fun-lover with friends dressed in Halloween costumes.

Three Orange County residents were among the 230 passengers and crew members who died aboard TWA Flight 800: a Mission Viejo flight attendant, a Newport Beach business executive and a veteran Garden Grove pilot who was at the controls when the plane exploded. Relatives and friends hoped for the best, but officials on Thursday soon confirmed their worst fears. The casualties included flight attendant Melinda Torche, 46; businessman William Story, 51; and pilot Ralph G. Kevorkian, 58.
