Three companies are recalling about 243,000 bicycle helmets because they failed government impact testing. Variflex, of Moorpark, Calif.; NHS, of Santa Cruz, Calif.; and First Team Sports, of Anoka, Minn., have not received reports of injuries, but they are recalling the helmets as a precaution, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said Friday.
