Fox announced Monday that TV everywhere-man Mario Lopez will return as the host of "The X Factor. " But Khloe Kardashian will not. Lopez joined the other Fox singing competition show last season as host, alongside Kardashian. Despite being at ease in front of the cameras when they're connected to the E! network, Kardashian couldn't quite get comfortable in her role as host -- her misgivings were recently chronicled in an episode of "Kourtney & Kim Take Miami. " "Khloe Kardashian will not be returning to co-host 'The X Factor,'" read a statement attributed to "X Factor" producers.

The Pussycat Doll is now the "Dancing With the Stars" champ. Nicole Scherzinger and partner Derek Hough dominated throughout the 10th season of the hit ABC show and bested Olympic gold medalist Evan Lysacek to win the "Dancing" crown Tuesday night. Scherzinger performed a high-energy jive as her final dance that earned a perfect score of 30. Lysacek's quickstep also earned the judges' praise but just 28 points. ESPN sportscaster Erin Andrews, the third finalist, and her professional partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, were eliminated from the dance-off halfway through the two-hour season closer.

MUSIC Now in its 13th year, the KCRW World Festival series showcases big names in international music alongside upstarts from across the planet. Allan Pineda Lindo Jr., a.k.a. Apl.de.ap from the Black Eyed Peas, performs at the Bowl's first night dedicated to original Philippine music. He was born in the Philippines — his mother was Filipino, his father an African American serviceman — but grew up in Los Feliz. He's joined by fellow members of the Black Eyed Peas will.i.am & Taboo, Nicole Scherzinger, Martin Nievera, Sandwich and more.

Guitarist Jean Yves "Jeeve" Ducornet of the alt rock group Hypnogaja has listed his historic Hollywood house for $649,000. Originally two bedrooms and one bathroom, the remodeled bungalow now has a 380-square-foot recording studio in front that includes a live room, a control room and a voice-over booth. Behind that, an additional 700 square feet include a bedroom, a living room and an adjoining eat-in kitchen with granite counters and stainless-steel appliances. The building has two bathrooms.

When he was a kid in the 1960s, Jerry Mitchell visited the Hollywood Bowl for the first time. "We got to walk on the stage," he recalls. "I looked out and said, 'This is amazing. This is what I want to do.'" Mitchell is back at the Bowl, where he will direct and choreograph a new version of "Hairspray," the Broadway hit based on John Waters' film about an effervescent teen who uses a TV dance program to battle segregation in '60s Baltimore. The show, which runs Friday through Sunday, stars Harvey Fierstein and Marissa Jaret Winokur — re-creating their Tony-winning roles as Edna Turnblad and her daughter, Tracy — plus Susan Anton, Corbin Bleu, Drew Carey, Nick Jonas, Darlene Love and John Stamos.
