Drummer Brad Wilk of Rage Against the Machine and his wife, vocalist Selene Vigil, have snared a buyer for their Malibu house, selling it for $2.453 million. Wilk is known to have an affinity for the number 3, and this sales price delivered one. He uses threes in his drum playing and decision-making. The ocean-view contemporary, built in 2001, features walls of glass, a large deck, a loft office, two bedrooms and 21/2 bathrooms. The house has about 2,750 square feet of living space.

The Park Shore Waikiki is across from Waikiki Beach and within walking distance of Diamond Head. The Oahu hotel has a water sports package that starts at $199 a night for an ocean view room while it undergoes a $10.7-million renovation. The package comes with perks for one guest: a surf or stand-up paddle lesson as well as a bike-hike tour of Diamond Head. The deal: The Hans Hedemann Surf & Turf Package (named for the surf school) requires a minimum stay of three nights to qualify for the water sports extras.

PGA champion Tiger Woods has sold his condominium in Corona del Mar for $2,213,875. The town-house-style unit features an open-plan living room on the second story to take advantage of views of Santa Catalina Island. Features include high ceilings, a balcony, three bedrooms, a loft, three bathrooms and 2,000 square feet of living space. Woods, 36, once the holder of top spot in the world of golf, ranked second after a third-place finish in late July at the Open Championship. Public records show he bought the property in 2004 for $3 million.

It is one of the great classified ads of our time, and it leads to an unexpected and endearing film that is as deliciously off-center as the words that ignite it: "WANTED: Someone to go back in time with me.
