Pirmin Zurbriggen of Switzerland won the super-giant slalom race today with a time of 1 minute, 21.99 seconds, widening his lead in the overall World Cup standings. It was Zurbriggen's third World Cup victory this season and the 28th of his career. He has 295 points in the overall World Cup standings. Gunther Mader of Austria was second with a time of 1:22.77. Peter Runggaldier of Italy was third, clocking 1:23.08 over the 2,400-meter Checrouit course.

Venus Williams beat top-seeded Lindsay Davenport for the first time in four tries, overcoming a slow start Saturday night to win in three sets and reach the finals of the IGA Tennis Classic at Oklahoma City. Williams, 17, who most recently lost to Davenport in the quarterfinals of the Australian Open, broke the defending champion's serve in the seventh game of the third set to win the matchup of power players, 6-7 (5-7), 6-2, 6-3.

Former Miami Dolphin quarterback Dan Marino has yet to make up his mind concerning retirement, his agent said Thursday as several broadcast reports aired saying the player would call it quits next week. Marvin Demoff, Marino's agent, told ESPN.com that Marino had yet to decide whether he would retire or stay in football, perhaps by accepting an offer from the Minnesota Vikings.
