A special congressional commission has begun investigating allegations that President Fernando Collor de Mello's former campaign treasurer has made a fortune from influence-peddling and corruption. The allegations, embarrassing Collor as he hosts the United Nations Earth Summit here, came from the lips of his own younger brother, Pedro Collor de Mello.
