The Denver Broncos have been stacking up victories all season. Sunday, they served Kansas City a special order: A quadruple Decker. Eric Decker caught four touchdown passes from Peyton Manning to lift the Broncos to a 35-28 victory over the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium, completing a season sweep of Kansas City and taking a huge step toward an AFC West Division title. It was the second loss to Denver in three weeks for the Chiefs, who have gone 0-3 since they were the NFL's last remaining undefeated team at 9-0. "Sometimes, when you play a team close to back-to-back, there are some ideas that are fresh in your mind," Manning said.

Peyton Manning struggled Sunday night to come to grips with how the Denver Broncos could blow a 24-point halftime lead at New England on their way to a 34-31 overtime defeat. "You can pile on the disappointment however you want to," Manning told reporters. "I'm disappointed that we lost the game and everything that comes with that. " Asked how difficult it will be to get beyond the loss and get ready for Sunday's game at Kansas City, Manning said that's part of the job. "I think that's the test of football teams," he said.

The big story in the NFL this weekend is Peyton Manning versus Tom Brady. Or is it? The matchup of two of the premier quarterbacks in the history of the game, the Denver Broncos' Manning and the New England Patriots' Brady, is where the NFL wants our goose bumps. There is no denying the attraction. Both teams are very good. Manning is chasing Brady's single-season touchdown passing record of 50. The game is in the prime-time Sunday night spot, where the best in the business, Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth, broadcast and analyze the action.

The Kansas City Chiefs swaggered into Denver with a defense that had averaged an NFL-best four sacks per game. After four quarters, Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning emerged virtually untouched. No sacks, no knockdowns. And that despite his mobility being limited by a high-ankle sprain. “I think to go sackless against the leading sack defense in the NFL, that is a great testament to those guys,” Manning said of his offensive line. “We play them again in two weeks at their place.

The Kansas City Chiefs are 9-0 and the NFL's only undefeated team. But how good are they, really? We'll know a lot more Sunday when the Chiefs play at Denver in a pivotal AFC West showdown. None of the teams the Chiefs have beaten have a winning record, but the Broncos are 8-1 and have Peyton Manning, who is in good position to win an unprecedented fifth most-valuable-player award. Manning took a physical beating in Sunday's victory at San Diego and had an MRI exam on his sore right ankle Monday, but the examination revealed no new damage.

Philadelphia's Nick Foles became the first NFL quarterback to throw for seven touchdowns in a game Sunday since Denver's Peyton Manning did it in Week 1 this season. Manning was the first player to toss that many touchdown passes since Minnesota's Joe Kapp did it in 1969. Four other quarterbacks did it before him and no one has ever thrown for more. So in a way, Manning and Foles are in a league of their own as the only two players to achieve the feat in 44 years. The fact that they did it in the same season within two months of each other makes their accomplishments all the more special.

Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers have gotten past a shaky start to string together four straight wins for a half-game lead over the Detroit Lions at the top of the NFC North standings. If he hadn't already, Rodgers established himself as a contender for MVP honors with a stellar showing on national television Sunday night, throwing for 285 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions for a 130.6 passer rating in a 44-31 victory over the Minnesota Vikings. As Chris Wesseling of NFL.com pointed out , Rodgers did so without the services of Randall Cobb, James Jones and Jermichael Finely, who had combined to catch 54% of his passes this season.

Peyton Manning did not have a pass intercepted in his first four games, and one each in his next three. So the Denver quarterback's three intercepted passes in Sunday's 45-21 victory over Washington were a jolt to him. “Well, it's disappointing,” Manning said after the win. “There's no question, because you feel like you put your defense in a tough spot. Those guys had a great game plan and executed it and all of the sudden we're down, 21-7. The defense had not given up 21 points, they'd give up I guess seven.

Green Bay Packers tight end Jermichael Finley's football future remains in question, but he's taken a major step toward recovering from the spinal contusion sustained in Week 7. A person with knowledge of Finley's condition told NFL.com's Ian Rapoport that the tight end was released from the hospital Thursday. At this point, surgery is not deemed necessary, though it is an option, and Finley might elect to have surgery to completely eliminate any future risk.

Throughout his career in Indianapolis, Peyton Manning was untouchable at practice, just like every other NFL quarterback. On Sunday night, the Colts had a chance to hit the star player -- who now plays for the Denver Broncos -- for the first time, and they took advantage. They sacked Manning four times in the 39-33 Colts victory  and more than once hit his arm while he was trying to throw, at one point jarring loose a fumble that left the end zone for a safety. “Oh gosh. We were hitting that boy, and hitting him, and hitting him,” defensive end Cory Redding said.
