The Kings will close out a three-game trip tonight with a game against the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Penguins are led by rookie center Mario Lemieux, the first player selected in the 1984 National Hockey League draft. This is the second meeting between the two teams. The Kings beat the Penguins, 5-3, last November at the Forum.

The Pittsburgh Penguins traded right wing Tomas Sandstrom to the Detroit Red Wings for center Greg Johnson. Sandstrom, 32, is eligible to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season. He has nine goals and 15 assists in 40 games with the Penguins. Johnson, 25, has six goals and 10 assists in 43 games with the Red Wings.
