But are those metal filings organic? Annie's Inc., which specializes in natural and organic foods, is recalling all varieties of its Rising Crust frozen pizza because pieces of metal wire might be in the products. Some 30 years after Wolfgang Puck introduced a wood-burning oven and his sophisticated pizza at the original Spago, we're enjoying a pizza renaissance. And many of the newer pizzerie and restaurants are turning out pies better than typical neighborhood joints in Italy - and by a long shot. Though Pizzeria Mozza gets the lion's share of attention and remains one of the toughest reservations in town, there are plenty of other chefs making great pies at places that are easier to get into at the spur of the moment - Steve Samson and Zach Pollack at Sotto, Jeff Mahin at Stella Rossa Pizza Bar in Santa Monica, Travis Lett at Gjelina and Gjelina Take Away and Nicola Mastronardi at Pizzeria il Fico.

It's the new year, and people are busily struggling to keep their new year's resolutions to eat better. We're in full support of a healthful diet, but why not have one last, little hurrah? During Monday morning's #Weekendeats chat on Twitter, some participants embraced a more healthful new year, while others couldn't help indulging... just a little. Here are some of the highlights: Carol Sacks, from the blog In Medias Recipe, balanced her butterscotch glazed cinnamon rolls with a kale, cabbage and carrot salad , while Jo from the blog My Last Bite shared a ridiculous photo of the pig tail from the Spice Table, with the words "crispy, fatty, porky" in the caption.

"Tchoupitoulas" is a jewel-bright whoosh of a ride through nighttime New Orleans. Embarking on a mission to create "an artifact of an adventure," sibling filmmakers Bill and Turner Ross turned their kinetic lenses on another set of brothers, the adolescent Zanders trio from the city's Algiers neighborhood. From nine months' worth of shooting they've created a single night's story, disjointed in its logic (sometimes it's Mardi Gras, sometimes it isn't) but perfectly coherent in its sensory-immersion chronicle of the boys' peregrinations.

Drew Barrymore has always been open about her, shall we say, unique childhood.  That shouldn't suggest there aren't traditions worth passing on to her and husband Will Kopelman's baby girl Olive. In one of her few post-birth sightings, the actress and Kopelman hit revamped L.A. institution Spago for lunch last Thursday -- and a little slice of Barrymore history. "She's been coming in since the 'E.T.' days with her mom, for Wolfgang's pizza," a source told us of owner and executive chef Puck's signature dish.

Nothing like the heady whiff of pepperoni to set a man's heart afire. It began as a gag, but now it's a reality: Pizza Hut perfume, featuring subtle "notes of freshly baked, hand-tossed dough," according to a company news release . Pizza Hut Canada's marketing firm, Grip Ltd., had posted something on Facebook asking what people would call a perfume that captured the enticing aroma of a Pizza Hut pizza. It was a joke. But thousands of Facebookers responded, some asking where they could find such an enticing scent.
