Residents of upscale new homes near Alta Vista Golf Course said this week that they will pack City Council chambers Tuesday to ensure that apartments are not built in their neighborhood. About 160 residents have filed a petition with the city objecting to a plan to build apartments at Alta Vista Street and Rose Drive. Because of residents' objections, the property owner is now considering a condominium project instead.
