Al Wooten Jr. was killed in a drive-by shooting and his relatives wanted revenge. His young cousins talked at the funeral of tracking down the gunman and killing him. His uncle began parking his car near the scene of the shooting, scanning the street, searching for clues. At a family meeting a few weeks after the funeral, Wooten's mother told a roomful of angry relatives that she did not want to avenge her son's memory. She wanted to honor it.
