Quantum Of Solace Movie

"Quantum of Solace" is the title of the new James Bond film, the 22nd Bond adventure. The title was revealed to reporters Thursday at Pinewood Studios outside of London, where the movie is being filmed. Location shooting is planned in Austria, Italy and Panama. Daniel Craig is returning as Agent 007. The film picks up where 2006's "Casino Royale" left off, with Bond contemplating revenge after his betrayal by his true love, Vesper Lynd. "Quantum of Solace" is due to open in Britain and the United States on Nov. 7.

IVER HEATH, England -- It takes a lot of planks and plaster to bring James Bond's adventures to life. The latest 007 movie, "Quantum of Solace," is being shot amid high security at a sprawling studio complex near London, where vast soundstages have been transformed into a medieval Italian town, a corner of South America and the high-tech headquarters of British intelligence.

After the big gambles that paid off with "Casino Royale," the makers of the James Bond series are now playing with the house's money. "We were coming off a highly successful film, 'Die Another Day'; we sat down with the studio and said, 'We want to do the original book, and there's a 20-minute card game in it. It starts out black and white. There's no Q, no Moneypenny and the girl dies at the end,' " said longtime producer Barbara Broccoli with a laugh.
