The winner of Rep. Robert K. Dornan's second annual Congressional Arts Contest was presented with a $50 gift certificate on Monday. Simone Senate, 16, of Garden Grove will also have her drawing of a young man displayed at the U.S. Capitol in a corridor dedicated to young artists, congressional aide Pat Fanelli said. Dornan (R-Garden Grove), a member of the Congressional Arts Caucus, presented awards at a reception at the Mills House Gallery in Garden Grove.

I would like to share some observations about your recent Orange County article "Doves in a Hawk's Nest". Regretfully, you erred by stating that Alliance for Survival is the oldest peace group in the county. The United Nations Assn. was organized here in 1952 and has functioned uninterrupted since. It now has two chapters in the county and a gift shop which has generated over $50,000 for a variety of peace causes. Rep. Robert K. Dornan (R-Garden Grove) states that the peace movement "represents 1% of the population of the county."

One of the more bitterly contested campaigns was waged in Orange County's 38th Congressional District, where state Assemblyman Richard Robinson (D-Garden Grove) unseated incumbent Rep. Robert K.
