R Thousand Oaks

Oliver North, who gained national fame for his role in the Iran-Contra affair, is scheduled as the guest speaker at a $125-a-plate fund-raising luncheon for Assemblyman Tom McClintock (R-Thousand Oaks). The Sept. 29 event will be the second time North has campaigned for McClintock. His last appearance in 1988 sold out two weeks in advance.
