The Raiders weren't the losers Sunday, the fans were. The stupid, no-class fans who booed Marc Wilson, who played a great game, and the rest of the team. This was a team coming off a five-game winning streak that outplayed the best team in the NFL at less than full strength. But no, these lousy fans couldn't accept the fact that sometimes the other team gets the breaks. Next time, go to the beach and boo the weather. BRAD KEARNS Woodland Hills

How great a day was it here? One of the finest in Oxnard's now-jeopardized life as a National Football League (training site) city. The sun shone. The weather was warm. All 13 Raider draft choices reported on time, for the first time since the team left Oakland. Tim Brown, No. 1, wanted to be here so badly, he signed a makeshift one-year contract, which he says will be torn up next week when he signs his real contract. This should give him the fastest renegotiation in NFL history.
