A 20-year-old Sepulveda man has died from a chest wound received during a gang-related drive-by shooting, Los Angeles police said Thursday. Ramon Carmona, identified by police as a gang member, was pronounced dead at Northridge Hospital Medical Center about 9 p.m. Wednesday, three hours after the shooting, Detective Tom Broad said.

Three men were killed and four other people injured early Sunday morning in two unrelated accidents in which both drivers were speeding and lost control of their cars, the California Highway Patrol said. Manuel Diaz Quintana, 26, of Santa Ana, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in a 2 a.m. accident on the Garden Grove Freeway, just west of Hoover Street in Westminster, said CHP Sgt. Don Hulen. Two of his unidentified passengers were killed, Hulen said.
