A 17-year-old youth was arraigned Thursday on suspicion of raping an 11-year-old girl in front of her teen-age sister in a North Hills alley, and is under investigation in another rape that occurred nearby a few hours later. Police said the 11-year-old girl and her 17-year-old sister were on their way home about 10:15 p.m. Monday after eating dinner at a restaurant when a gunman accosted them on Roscoe Boulevard.

Sex crime detectives are seeking three men in two apparently unrelated cases. On Feb. 5 at 6:30 a.m., a man grabbed a woman and pulled her into his vehicle, drove to a secluded area, raped her and let her go, police said. The rapist, who had blond hair and brown eyes, was about 5 feet 8, weighed about 150 pounds and was in his early 30s. He fled in a new, four-door, white Toyota Corolla. Detectives said they are also looking for two men in an attempted rape that occurred about 3 p.m. on Jan. 18.

An Antelope Valley High student accused of attempting to kill one teacher and trying to rape another could stand trial as an adult. Deputy Dist. Atty. Alan Yochelson said Wednesday a May 12 hearing will determine if the case of the 15-year-old boy, who has been detained at Sylmar Juvenile Hall since his March 27 arrest, will go before an adult court.

The man described as the "main player" in a series of rapes and robberies of Valley-area masseuses was sentenced to life in state prison Tuesday. Christopher Terrell Dickson must serve at least 87 years behind bars before he is eligible for parole under the 103-year sentence handed down by Van Nuys Superior Court Judge Sandy R. Kriegler, officials said. Dickson, 30, was convicted in July of rape, robbery, sexual battery and burglary.

Police are looking for an ex-convict who has allegedly stolen $18,000, sexually assaulted two women and raped another in Los Angeles since June. Richard Alan Minsky, a Massachusetts native, may have been last seen in the lobby of the Radisson Valley Center Hotel in Sherman Oaks on Monday calling women listed in the phone book from a pay phone and impersonating relatives in peril, police said.

Police were searching Sunday for a third suspect in an alleged weekend kidnapping, officials said. Two other men have been been booked on suspicion of abducting Juan Carlos Torres, 23, a Pacoima man found on the floor of their car after a police chase early Saturday morning, said Det. Charles Barnes of the Los Angeles Police Department's Foothill Division. No motive has been established for the alleged abduction, Barnes said.

A 53-year-old woman was raped, stabbed, beaten and left for dead Wednesday by an assailant who ransacked her home and fled with an undetermined amount of money, according to Los Angeles police. Although suffering from a punctured lung and other serious injuries, the woman was able to call paramedics, who took her to a nearby hospital. She was in serious condition Wednesday, police said. --A rapist believed to be responsible for attacks on four women in the west San Fernando Valley since March struck again Tuesday night, raping one woman in front of her 8-year-old son and robbing another woman, police said. A 30-year-old woman and her son had just left a church service and gotten into her car in a Topanga Canyon Boulevard parking lot when an armed man climbed into the back seat. The gunman ordered the woman to drive to a nearby parking lot at 6912 Owensmouth Ave.

A Lancaster fugitive who vowed not be taken alive has been shot to death by a Louisiana state trooper after he pointed a gun at the officer during a routine traffic stop, authorities said Friday. William E. Flory, 44, a convicted child molester and a fugitive since Jan. 4, was shot five times by Louisiana State Police Trooper Neal Harwell after Harwell stopped him for driving a car with expired registration tags, said Louisiana state police spokeswoman Barbara Gibson.

A would-be rapist fell two stories from a parking garage roof early Thursday after a woman fought him off and witnesses chased him to the edge of the roof, police said. Rodney Bogans, 43, suffered a broken ankle and a broken wrist after he fell while trying to jump an 8-foot gap between rooftops, authorities said. He was discovered hiding behind a tree and arrested on suspicion of attempted rape, Officer Charles Rodriguez said.
