Master-Halco Inc., La Habra manufacturer of fence systems, said Thursday it acquired Reeves Southeastern Corp., a manufacturer of fencing products, for $35.5 million and the assumption of certain liabilities. Reeves is a subsidiary of Diamond Home Services. Reeves has 32 branches in the eastern U.S., manufacturing plants in Tampa, Fla., and Birmingham, Ala., and its Electronic Entry Distributors unit in Santa Monica. The transaction is scheduled to close in the first quarter next year.

Master-Halco Inc., a worldwide manufacturer and distributor of fence systems, said Friday it has agreed to buy the third-largest U.S. fencing maker for an undisclosed sum. The La Habra company said in a news release that it is acquiring the assets of Reeves Southeastern Corp. from its parent company, Diamond Home Services Inc. The acquisition covers 32 branches in the East and manufacturing plants in Tampa, Fla., and Birmingham, Ala.
