Reggie Bullock already was familiar with two of the Clippers' top people - new Clippers Coach Doc Rivers and All-Star guard Chris Paul. Now Bullock will play for Rivers and with Paul, something Bullock was excited to talk about when he was introduced to the media Monday. The 6-foot-7 Bullock was drafted in the first round (25 th overall) by the Clippers during last month's draft. He called Rivers, who also is the Clippers' senior vice president of basketball operations, one of the best coaches in the NBA. “I'm just going to play my game,” Bullock said.

Chatter about the NCAA men's basketball tournament has slowed considerably in the Clippers' locker room heading into the regional semifinals. “We're the only ones left,” forward Matt Barnes said Monday of his UCLA Bruins, who face Florida on Thursday. “I think Blake [Griffin] has the [Oklahoma] women's team left, so he's out of it.” Actually, Barnes forgot about Jamal Crawford's Michigan Wolverines, who will play Tennessee on Friday. But given the lack of other Clippers' alma maters left in the bracket, Barnes can be forgiven.

LAS VEGAS -- Reggie Bullock made his first shot Friday afternoon, an indication of what was to come for much of the Clippers' opener in the Las Vegas Summer League. The shooting guard, who was the team's first-round draft pick last month, finished with 18 points on eight-for-15 shooting during the Clippers' 90-83 victory over the Atlanta Hawks at Cox Pavilion. Bullock was serenaded by courtside chants of "Reggie! Reggie!" after making a jumper in the first quarter and again after blocking a shot later in the game.

Clippers Coach Doc Rivers said that J.J. Redick will start at shooting guard Wednesday night against the Utah Jazz and that rookie guard Reggie Bullock also will play at Staples Center. Redick missed the first six exhibition games recovering from a partially torn left quad muscle and Bullock sat out with an injured right knee. “[Redick] had two really good days of practice, probably did more than we thought,” Rivers said before the game. “Going into practice, they said he would only go about half and he went through the entire session.

ATLANTA - It won't be easy for the Clippers to make up for the absence of shooting guard J.J. Redick, but Coach Doc Rivers believes that the next man up has to do his job. Redick is expected to be sidelined for six to eight weeks with a broken bone in his right hand and torn ligaments on the side of his right wrist. In Redick's place, Willie Green started Sunday against the Indiana Pacers and probably will start against the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday night. But sixth-man Jamal Crawford got the bulk of the minutes at shooting guard against Indiana, playing almost 33 minutes and scoring a team-high 20 points in the Clippers' 105-100 loss to the Pacers.

Clippers forward Matt Barnes is not going to play against the Orlando Magic because of a bruised right thigh. Clippers Coach Doc Rivers said Barnes also may not play Thursday night when L.A. plays at the two-time defending NBA champion Miami Heat. “I think he got hit in the last game,” said Rivers, referring to the Clippers' 137-118 win over the Houston Rockets on Monday at Staples Center. Rivers said not having Barnes, the seventh-man on the team, “is a tough one” for the Clippers because they lose depth behind starting small forward Jared Dudley.

Coach Doc Rivers gave a strong indication Tuesday that the Clippers soon could be signing free-agent forward Hedo Turkoglu. Asked before practice if he could see the Clippers signing Turkoglu to a contract, Rivers said, "We could, yeah. We're looking at him strong. I can say that much. " The Clippers have a full 15-man roster and would have to waive a player before they could sign Turkoglu. But a Turkoglu deal could be done as soon as Wednesday or Thursday, the day the Clippers leave for a seven-game, 12-day trip.

BOSTON - Doc Rivers is returning to the site of his most glorious moments as an NBA coach. Rivers is bringing his new team, the Clippers, to face his old team, the Boston Celtics, a team he led to an NBA championship in 2008 and to the NBA Finals in 2010. He spent nine seasons with the Celtics before he bolted from Boston last June, rather than stick around for a rebuilding project, to join the Clippers to become the coach and senior vice president of basketball operations.

Clippers forward Jared Dudley said he got a platelet-rich plasma injection to help alleviate the painful tendinitis in his right knee. The procedure, known as PRP, takes a sample of the patient's blood and spins it in a centrifuge for 15 minutes. It is then injected to accelerate tissue repair. Though he's hurting, Dudley hasn't missed any of the Clippers' 15 games. He is averaging 8.4 points per game on 48% shooting, with 38.5% (20 for 52) on three-pointers. He's playing 27 minutes per game.

The time has come for Clippers rookie Reggie Bullock to get his opportunity to play. Bullock, a rookie out of North Carolina, will be counted upon by the Clippers to play more minutes now that Matt Barnes is out with a bruised left eye that sidelined him for the Minnesota game Wednesday night and will keep him out of the Oklahoma City matchup Thursday. “When I get this opportunity, I just have to continue to play well,” Bullock said. “With Matt being down, I just have to step right in and just try to keep that second unit going like Matt was doing when he was here.
