Du Pont to Sell Half of Coal Unit: Du Pont Co. said it has agreed to sell half of its coal business to a German company for nearly $900 million in cash and the German company's U.S. coal interests. Under the agreement, Rheinbraun AG, a subsidiary of RWE AG, will acquire a 50% interest in Du Pont's Consolidation Coal Co., the nation's second-largest coal producer, and Du Pont's other coal business. Du Pont said it will get just under $900 million in cash and Rheinbraun's U.S.
