A farm-supply company was robbed of more than 25 tons of ammonium nitrate, the same chemical used in the Oklahoma City bombing, the FBI said. The amount stolen is roughly 10 times greater than that used in the April 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building that killed 168 people. The theft from a bulk storage bin was reported to Preston County, W.Va., sheriff's officials. It was not known when it was taken.

A man armed with a sawed-off shotgun entered the Faith Way Baptist Church in Philippi, W. Va., and robbed the 132-member congregation of about $500 as they lay on the floor amid the pews. No one was hurt. "For some reason I just thought it was a prank," said the pastor, the Rev. Downing Gregory. "I didn't believe him to be serious about it. All of the sudden, my associate started praying on the platform there with me and then I realized, 'I think we're in trouble.' "

A Pennsylvania man wanted as a suspect in at least 10 armed robberies was arrested in California after he was featured on a national television crime show. Paul Coury, 38, of Mt. Lebanon, Pa., was arrested Friday at his electronics rental business in Riverside, police said. He is a suspect in Pittsburgh-area robberies in 1986 and 1987.
