A 48-year-old woman testified in Alexandria, Va., General District Court that Robert Jeffrey Lujan, 28, the son of Interior Secretary Manuel Lujan Jr., raped her last week. Lujan was ordered held without bond while the case goes to a grand jury. The woman said she awakened in her apartment to find a naked man with a shotgun standing over her bed. The woman said she and the man talked and walked around for about two hours before he forced her to have sex.

Robert Jeffrey Lujan, 28, of Alexandria, was convicted last month on charges of rape, sodomy and burglary. He was acquitted in Alexandria Circuit Court of using a weapon in connection with those crimes. During the trial, the defense acknowledged that Lujan had sex with the woman but said it was with her consent.

The son of Interior Secretary Manuel Lujan Jr. was arrested and jailed Wednesday on a rape charge after an unidentified victim said she awoke Sunday to find an intruder in her apartment and was forced to have sex, police said. Robert Jeffrey Lujan, 28, who works as a house painter, was in custody in Alexandria City Jail late Wednesday and charged with rape, Alexandria police said. They said the victim's apartment is located in the same high-rise condominium where Lujan lives with his parents.
