Robyn Norwood said in The Times on Monday that Arizona is "the first Western team to be seeded first in the West since Oregon State in 1981," Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't it just last year that Nevada Las Vegas was seeded No. 1 in the West Regional and continued on to participate in the Final Four. Paul Hackett has been coach at USC for, let's see, about six hours now, and he hasn't won a single game. Isn't it time for Randy Harvey, Chris Dufresne, Robyn Norwood and Bill Plaschke to point out that he has never beaten UCLA, never taken the team to a bowl game and hasn't signed a single recruit? Spend the same amount of time on him that you did on John Robinson and you might have Hackett out of there by spring practice. PAUL TAGLIA Palos Verdes Estates Paul Hackett!
