Petoseed Co. Inc., a Saticoy-based vegetable seed producer, said it has acquired Royal Sluis, a Dutch seed marketer. Petoseed, which is a privately held company, did not disclose the value of the deal. The company said it plans to combine its research and seed production organizations with Royal Sluis', and streamline them. Royal Sluis will operate as a separate business unit within Petoseed and retain its brand name. Petoseed said it is one of the top five producers of hybrid seeds worldwide.
