"Gossip Girl" and fashion darling Blake Lively reportedly married actor Ryan Reynolds on Sunday night in Mt. Pleasant, S.C., with Florence Welch performing. The pair have publicly been a couple for about a year. No word yet on the wedding gown, but we're betting on Chanel. [People] Writer/actor Mindy Kaling has been sending funny, fake tweets from New York Fashion Week, giving the sort of details we might wish were true (like having her seat at Tory Burch stolen by Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte and having a romantic fling with Adrien Brody at the Trump Hotel)

Perhaps closing out some old business, actor Ryan Reynolds has sold a home in Hollywood Hills West for $1.405 million. The leading man bought the property in his bachelor days for $1.749 million and in recent years had leased it out at $5,200 a month. Entered through a walled and gated courtyard, the Traditional-style home has been updated with solar heating, tankless hot water and impact-resistant French doors. The 1,789 square feet of space includes open-concept living areas, two bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms.

The early returns are in, and it looks like a weekend to forget for Ryan Reynolds. The actor's two new films -- the animated “Turbo” and the sci-fi comedy “R.I.P.D.” -- are off to dreadful starts at the box office, according to rough estimates based on Friday matinee figures. The $130-million “R.I.P.D.” may struggle just to gross $10 million in its first three days of release, the estimates show. And the even more expensive "Turbo" could gross barely double that.  PHOTOS: Summer sneaks 2013 With four new movies in wide release, the weekend's No. 1 film is likely to be the $20-million Warner Bros.

"Turbo," the racing-snails movie from this summer, is already a cartoon series, "Turbo: F.A.S.T.," suggesting that such an eventuality was in the cards from the beginning (or somewhere near it). That other DreamWorks-made cartoons - including "The Penguins of Madagascar," "Kung Fu Panda" and "Monsters vs. Aliens," all on Nickelodeon - have taken the same route, suggests that, more than an eventuality, it was an inevitability. One difference is that it is being released by Netflix, the streamcaster's first kids' show and ergo a historic moment.

For their Sunday wedding, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds created a celebration both highly stylish and homespun. Details are pouring in from the picturesque grounds of Boone Hall plantation, the sleepy South Carolina property where Lively and Reynolds reportedly married in a low-key, private ceremony followed by a reception that boasted A-list talent.  "Ryan and Blake wanted the event to look and feel like home," wedding planner Tara...

Ryan Reynolds reportedly has wed a second stunning blond actress.  Reynolds and Blake Lively are said to have married Sunday at South Carolina's Boone Hall plantation. It's difficult not to draw a few comparisons between Reynolds' second bride and his first, Scarlett Johansson -- the flowing blond hair, the porcelain skin and toothy white smiles. (Although, yes, that describes a number of Hollywood actresses.)  PHOTOS: Reynolds' new bride ... and his old one Reynolds, 35, and Lively, 25, are said to have drawn each other's interest with the making of the 2011 film "Green Lantern.

Several news outlets reported that "Gossip Girl" Blake Lively wore Chanel when she wed Ryan Reynolds over the weekend. That would seem to be a good guess since she had been a brand ambassador of the label and a favorite of creative director Karl Lagerfeld. But not so. Marchesa announced in a news release Monday afternoon that it had designed the one-of-a-kind couture ballgown, with draped bodice adorned with rose gold and crystal embroidery, and also provided the bridesmaid gowns. (Reynolds and his groomsmen reportedly wore Burberry with leather suspenders.)

The price of roughly $1,000 a square foot was considered high for the area at the time, according to local real estate agents. Built in 1969, the Buff & Hensman-designed Wong House has walls of glass that capture views of downtown Los Angeles and the ocean. The house has been restored and upgraded during Reynolds' ownership to include solar power.

For Brooke Shields, ex-husband Andre Agassi is gone but not quite forgotten: She got a zinger in against him this week while co-hosting a "Today" show segment about divorce. Shields and Willie Geist were talking to Laura Wasser -- divorce attorney to stars including Angelina Jolie, Ryan Reynolds, Ashton Kutcher and Kim Kardashian -- about her new book. While discussing how to divorce without destroying or bankrupting a family, Shields was reminded of an anecdote from her own 1999 split from the tennis pro. (The two were married less than two years.)

The premise of "R.I.P.D. " is that there is a secret supernatural police force that protects an unknowing humanity from bad souls who want to escape their eternal damnation. So a just-dead Boston cop (Ryan Reynolds), killed by his crooked partner (Kevin Bacon), is paired up with an Old West lawman (Jeff Bridges). Overseen by a mod-era bureau chief (Mary-Louise Parker), the new duo must stop a growing swarm of bad guys from rebuilding an ancient contraption that would reverse the flow of souls to the afterlife, flooding the world with the evil and dead.

There are underdogs. And there are underdogs. Then there is "Turbo," a garden snail who dreams of winning the Indy 500. Honestly, they pretty much had me at "racing snails. " The idea for animation's latest 3-D event movie sounded absurd enough to provide fertile visual terrain: the vroom, vroom grit of Indy racing action, the Garden of Eden lushness of tomato vine crawling. There is the general shape of all things snail as well: the shell, the slime, those antennae eyes.

The San Fernando Valley has provided the setting for countless memorable film scenes. The tree-lined street where E.T. rides a bike into the sky is in Granada Hills, the high school where the stoners disrupt class in "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" is in Van Nuys and the nightclub where Dirk Diggler is discovered in "Boogie Nights" is in Reseda. Now the Valley - with its flat vistas, low-slung ranch homes and even its cluttered strip malls - is getting animated in "Turbo," a movie about a garden snail who dreams of racing in the Indy 500, which opens Wednesday.

In “R.I.P.D.,” Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges portray deceased lawmen who keep the peace from beyond the grave -- the odd-couple partners protect the living from malevolent spirits who refuse to go quietly into the afterlife. But shortly before the $130-million sci-fi action-comedy reaches theaters Friday, “R.I.P.D.'s” vital signs are showing about as much of a pulse as the lifeless “Deados” that Bridges and Reynolds battle. Entering a crowded multiplex this weekend -- where the film will face off against the ensemble action caper “Red 2,” the animated kid flick “Turbo” and the modestly budgeted horror movie “The Conjuring” -- audience tracking surveys show that “R.I.P.D.” could gross as little as $17 million in its opening weekend, likely the worst among the four new films in release.

It's getting confusing keeping track of Snoop Dogg's animal aliases. Dogg, Lion -- and now snail? The garden creature was the reason for his performance Wednesday afternoon at L.A. Live in downtown Los Angeles, where he was promoting the new animated feature “Turbo.” Snoop has the lead song on the soundtrack and also provides the voice of a snail called Smoove Move. The event, thrown for attendees of the E3 gaming convention, included a mini concert and appearances from “Turbo” stars Michael Peña and Michelle Rodriguez.
