A female police officer sued the Sacramento Police Department for $1 million, charging male officers harassed her because she insisted on working during the overnight shift when they wanted to doze. Annie Cox's Superior Court suit listed Assistant Police Chief Jerry V. Finney and five other male members of the department as defendants. Cox's attorney, Nancy Kirk, said the complaint charges discrimination and harassment on the job. "It does not involve solicitation for sexual favors," Kirk said.
