The people helped by the Saddleback Community Outreach are just average folks. Most of them are former middle-class homeowners, "the kind of people who could be and were your neighbors," said Ray Havert, who founded the Laguna Hills charity four years ago. "Our biggest need right now is new toys," said Shawna Smith, administrator of the organization. "The toys should be unwrapped and can be for any age, although we are always short on gift items for teenage girls and boys," Smith said.
